Dr. Andy Kerr

Andy has been in leadership roles in climate action over two decades. He is Chief Strategy Officer of Climate-KIC, Europe’s climate innovation agency, responsible for the group’s strategy, financial sustainability, and global impact. Climate-KIC implements a place-based ‘learning by doing’ innovation model, mobilising finance and investment to build innovation portfolios that support rapid learning about scalable and replicable solutions for meeting ambitious climate targets. Previously, Andy was founding director of the award-winning Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation, a leading low carbon innovation centre. Earlier in his career, Andy traded carbon and green fuels in Europe and Asia and developed European renewable energy supply.
Andy is Honorary Professor at University of Edinburgh and has a PhD in Climate Change.
